Dr. Douglas L. Sims, Jr. completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. His Bachelors of Science degree was awarded from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. He remains current with the practice of chiropractic through various continuing education courses.

During his tenure at Life University he served as treasurer of the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA) student body. His advocacy of community involvement extended far beyond the boundaries of Life University. He is a mentor to the youth in the community and was awarded for his service by public school administrators.

Dr. Sims has ten (10) years of experience in the health industry which includes therapeutic recreation, physical therapy and chiropractic. His patient population has ranged from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Dr. Sims continues to extend himself to the community by participating in various health screenings and educational sessions. He is married with 2 daughters and resides in Prince George’s County. He is also an active member of the Prince George's Chamber of Commerce, BNI as well as the American Chiropractic Association, Maryland Chiropractic Association, and American Black Chiropractors Association. When he is not with his family or tending to patients he enjoys reading, martial arts, traveling and music.
